This is too cute

Abigail Breslin for the Product Red Campaign.
Cuteness aside, I’m not 100% sure about this campaign, I do really like the idea that consumers can buys products which support a good cause but I did hear that the companies involved spent 3 times the amount that the campaign made for charity on the marketing of the brand. It got me thinking that the companies were really only interested in a socially conscious image or perhaps the brand just didn’t sell as well as expected.
However, the company has been successful in increasing awareness about the HIV/AIDS crisis in Africa and any funds raised are much better than none.

I’m not sure who this is but he had got one adorable child.

I loved Little Miss Sunshine and Ms Breslin! and is that Wyclef is the second picture? I’m not sure but it might be. Red does contribute 50% of its profits to charity and is made from 100% African cotton, but it seems like the stuff is always on sale and they dont mention if the products are made in Africa or if the harvesting of the cotton is done by locals…

I think all the profits should go to charity if they are markerting it as a charitable thing and are benefiting through the ethical image it protrays. but Like I said, something is always better than nothing.
