Hollow Berry strikes again! She was on Jay Leno last night and she made a disparaging joke about herself that rubbed the entire universe the wrong way. Some slag in the audience reported that she was going through pictures of herself and : “She introduced the first photo by saying, ‘Here’s where I look like my Jewish cousin!’ – it was a picture of her with a huge, distorted nose.”
Damn, that’s unfortunate. It’s also pretty racist! Halle says she didn’t mean nothing by it, though. It was meant to be a light-hearted segment. She even says a friend told her pretty much the same thing earlier and maybe the memory of that was still “fresh” in her mind. She also stated that she has Jewish friends! And obviously, a Jewish cousin. Ha. Okay, I’m pretty sure Halle is not a racist or an anti-Semite. Why do I think this? Just a hunch. Oh, and she asked Jay to edit the comment when the show actually aired, so if you don’t remember her saying this and you saw the show, don’t think I’m on the drugs.
* In reference to the title — that’s the name of a Smiths’ song. I think. I screw up song titles all the time. Incidentally, the Joke was never really funny.
