Cute outfit post

Talking All Things English With Scarlett, Natalie and Eric

I felt I needed a post to counteract the bad karma created by the slightly more evil posts I just wrote so I’m going to say I think  Natalie Portman looked adorable wearing this coat, bag and shoes on her way to promote the Other Boleyn Girl on the David Letterman show.

It seems Natalie can do no wrong. That means she probably won’t be featured on this blog very often.

Now you’ve mentioned that Janers, I think I recall reading about that. Doesn’t she design them herself?

I don’t know about the “can do no wrong” thing. Even if you overlook the Star Wars prequels she’s said some pretty daft things.

That “I don’t want to ever be working just for money because then you are no different than a prostitute” comment she made a while back seems a bit silly when you’ve done commercials. Not to mention insulting towards actresses who don’t get to pick and choose their parts.

Not that a person should be generally condemned for occasionally saying something stupid. None of us are perfect and compared to the Lohans and Hiltons of the world she does come off quite well.

I never heard that but she never said there was anything bad about being a prositute. She prob just meant it’s no fun in life to do things in life u don’t enjoy. I doubt she was judging everyone that has to work just for money (which is most of us).

I don’t really care if she’s made bad movies.

Come, now. Prostitute isn’t a euphemism for a bored person.
Calling someone (who isn’t) a prostitute or comparing someone to a prostitute has very negative connotations in nearly every culture.
I don’t for a second think she meant to insult people who have to do real work for a living, but that’s what she did. Perhaps because she’s never been in that position herself.

I like her a lot. She seems very classy and smarter than the average actress.

Not everyone means it in a disrespectful way when they are talkig about prostitutes.

Anyway I’d prob rather be a hooker than someone that acts in tacky movies – at least then ur not degrading urself on a worldwide scale.

Sure, if you choose to spin things like that then I can how Portman can do no wrong.

““I don’t want to ever be working just for money because then you are no different than those great prostitutes which I respect so much”
    :-)

Janers! Hahahahahahaa. Um, I love you dearly, but I’m pretty sure what when someone references a prostitute they have something slightly negative in mind…

Sometimes when I reference a protitute it’s because I feel sorry for them.

When u thik about it y do they get so much disrespect? they charge men for sex but everyone else hands it out for free. They seem smarter then the rest of us.
