1927: Leon Trotsky expelled from The Soviet Communist Party. These leaves Joseph Stalin as top dog of the Soviet Union.
1936: The San Francisco Bay Bridge opens to traffic. This baby connects Oakland to San Francisco. Woot!
1981: William Holden dies. Poor William Holden! He fell and hit his head on a bender in his apartment and died from his injuries… he was in one of the greatest movies of all time, Sunset Boulevard. Here’s a preview, it’s delicious.
