On This Day in History: September 6, 2007

* My neck hurts again, damnit!  I’m tired and I could give a holy damn about celebrities right now –including Orly, but whatevs, I needed a picture for this post.  Orly’s ass is showing if you click the tab.  You may need a microscope to see it though, on account of it being so small.    I am so sorry about this post.  I mean it.

1620 – The Pilgrims sail from Plymouth, England, on the Mayflower to settle in North America.

1628 – Puritans settle Salem, which will later become part of the Massachusetts Bay Colony.  And also the locus of some vile witch trials.  Goody Proctor.  Goody Good.   Ha!  Go watch the GD Crucible.

1847 Henry David Thoreau leaves Walden Pond and moves in with Ralph Waldo Emerson and his family in Concord, Massachusetts.  They are gay lovers.  Just kidding.  Maybe.

1966 – In Cape Town, South Africa, the architect of Apartheid, Prime Minister Hendrik Verwoerd, is stabbed to death during a parliamentary meeting.  Sad, that.

1995Mark Fuhrman invokes his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination in the murder trial of O.J. Simpson.

** Today is also the birthday of Harlequin’s sissy.  Happy Birthday, slagHo!

^ This is for me.

^ Jane, this one’s for you!

^ This is for Jane, too.  On account of the doggie.

^ Troublers, this for you.  It took much time and troubHo to find this, though.  : )

He was cute to me as Legolas, but I don’t find him all that attractive, just being himself.

Lana Turner! Good avatar. I have that same pic in my photobucket. That is the only era in which I can name who is acting in the film.

Today in history: My sister’s birthday!
