i heart the fleet foxes

last night i got to see the fleet foxes and i have to tell you they far exceeded my expectations. they are 5 guys and four of them sing and harmonize together in these really homey kind of feeling songs. i know that makes no sense but i don’t know how to describe it! they are kind of like comfort music for me – especially cozy and nice to listen to when going to bed. but they are great whenever!

anyway, the boys all seemed exceedingly sweet and down to earth. they bantered with the crowd, carried out their own guitars, got their own water, etc. the stage was sparse so the focus was completely on them and the music – no flashy distractions or anything.

robin (the lead singer) even treated the crowd to two completely acoustic songs. and of course we all lost our shiz over it! here is one of them – tiger mountain peasant song:

if you have even the slightest opportunity to see them please do so! you so won’t regret it :)
